    Growing up in a small town like the author, I can relate to his stories. A great storyteller, Pond captures your attention, leading you down one path, only to pack a joke not seen coming. Thanks for the short reads…

    I really enjoyed parts of this book, which is really a collection of essays on life in general, but the author often rambles, in search of a point, and while portions of the book are enduring, some of it must be endured until another good essay pops up.

    Pond has down-to-earth sense of humor. If Erma Bombeck had been an extension agent she would have written books like Roger Pond.

    Written by a former Agricultural Extension Agent, this compilation of stories is full of humor for anyone who has had experiences in the country or suburbs. Highly recommended for all ages.
