I should have known to only buy from Amazon itself as there is no warranty support through Polk if you encounter a problem with the product that you’ve bought from a no name company. So instead of going to Polk to get the speakers fixed I looked for DependableResources contact info only to find out I must have the speakers packaged exactly how they came which is understandable. But before searching for the original box and everything I found some reviews on the company DependableResource about their bad service and how they bribe customers that leave negative feedback on Amazon.com with money to remove their comments.

All in all, I’ve accepted the loss on the speakers and realize now that the only way to buy anything online is going through known companies such as Amazon or Newegg.

Buy legit or don’t buy at all.

I have these mounted in a Dodge Neon on a four-channel JBL 200-watt amp and they sound pretty good for the price. Mids are a little muddy but otherwise OK.

I bought these speakers based on what I’ve read in reviews about these having really good bass and I can only say that I’m disappointed. For one, if you live in cold weather climates, forget about these speakers producing bass!! The bass is for one, the reason I bought these. These cannot touch the Blaupunkt 6X9’s that they replaced and they both were driven by a factory radio with no amp, and I know the Blau’s are no better than the factory ones they replaced!! Yea, I know, before anyone gets their panties in an uproar, I should be using an amp and a good head unit to drive these things, but come on, the Blau’s sound better from a factory radio output??? Why is that??? I would have thought these would have blown the Blau’s away, without having to be driven with extra power……but I guess that’s not the case and I need an extra piece of equipment just to drive these things. Mainly what gets me is the fact that these do not, and I repeat, do not like cold weather!!! And what I mean by cold is anything below 30ยบ!! These SUCK below that temp!!!

Replaced the stock speakers in my Frontier – what a difference! Sounds much clearer than the stock ones. Note to fit them into the door of a Frontier you do need to do a small modification on the plastic holder in the door as they slightly larger than the stock ones. Nothing major and only takes a few minutes. Recommend as a cheap and simple upgrade to your stereo.
