These were simply the most underwhelming speakers I have ever heard. I know the price should’ve tipped me off but I used to purchase pyle amps and subs back in the day and was the envy of the area when I cranked up the sound system in the firebird, I thought a product that had the Pyle name would perform adequately at worst. Stay away from these speakers, the other functioning factory 5.25 speaker still in my 98 monte carlo sounds much better than these speakers.

I just replaced my blown factory door speakers with these in my 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I was looking for something inexpensive and hoping they’d sound better than stock. I still have the factory radio installed and these speakers actually sound pretty good. I’m getting a new head unit in less than a week and I’m hoping these speakers sound even better.
If you’re someone looking for the best audio system in your car you’ll obviously spend more, but for those who need to replace their stock speakers for cheap and still want good sound, get these. Seriously these are great. The bass thumps pretty good, definitely an upgrade from most stock speakers for cars before 02.

I was installing new door speakers in a 1993 toyota previa van. The old ones were destroyed by age, so I thought ANYTHING new would be good enough to make decent sound in this old van. Boy was I wrong. These Pyle speakers are so bad, when we initially installed them I thought the head unit was blown. I found out later, by testing, that the head unit was fine, but the new Pyle speakers were not. At completely normal listening levels, the bass distortion was so bad as to make these unusable. Since the van was all torn apart, I had to go to the store and pay full retail for some reasonable speakers. These will go straight into the landfill. So sad. I have to mention it again — I am a middle aged man who listens to music at normal low levels… so I was not demanding much at all out of these speakers, yet they failed miserably.
Do not waste your time and money on these.
I don’t usually write reviews. But these were so bad, I had to. Please, please don’t buy these speakers. I know you want low end speakers or you wouldn’t be on this page to begin with… but please, take my advice and don’t buy these.

Used to replace my stock speakers. They work well. If you have bad speakers and want a cheap replacement this work. haven’t had any issues.

Got these to replace the sad stock speakers in my sound bar for my ‘97 Wrangler. They’re holding up so far but I didn’t notice any improvement from the stock system at all. It would probably be worth it to spend a little more for something that will make a difference. I got another pair of the 4×6 pyle speakers and one of them was crackling within 2 days.
