At the moment I can’t write a review of the product because I bought it for a present and My husband just got it and doesn’t know how it will work out. Sorry!

I purchased this radio to replace the factory unit in my 2005 GTO. The factory unit had so much security it was a nightmare to use and I wanted a USB input. I have had the radio for about a year and it works perfectly. I had a module installed which integrates the controls with those on my steering wheel. The radios buttons and controls are on the small side compared to the factory unit. You must read the manual. If you know where everything is and how it functions, it’s no problem. I had it professionally installed and as far as I’m concerned it looks as good as the factory radio and it has many more features. The USB is a must have. You can load up as much as your key will hold and it will play for hours. I use the USB all the time and it has worked perfectly. If you don’t use the USB or the IPOD plug, you still have a good CD player. I love this radio and I would recommend it.

I had the PDR80 installed in my 2000 Ranger by Circuit City about a year and a half ago. I bought this item because of it’s USB and AUX combo (which was a must have), its price to function value, and my pleasant passed experience with a different JVC head unit. The product works as designed. Like all things in life, its easy to function once you go through the motions a few times.
The USB is superb. I really enjoy being able to quickly download songs, have them copied to my USB, and playing in my truck in a matter of minutes. Track titles and folders are displayed.
I don’t use my Ipod often. but the stereo recognizes it quickly and operates fine.
The auxiliary jack works as would be expected. I use it to listen to my Zune everyday. The great thing about having both the USB and AUX is that I’m able to connect the USB to my Zune and charge it while playing it at the same time through the AUX connection.
The unit improved my factory speakers performance greatly! Everyone who road in the truck after the installation asked if I had installed new speakers. I was happy to be able to save money on not having to buy new ones.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this product. I’ll purchase another JVC head unit in the future should such a need arise.
