Purchased this from Best Buy in November 2008.

It acted strange from the first day, you’d hear the drive spin when the unit was ‘off’ and then if you went to the radio station I’d hear the movie playing.

Then it started draining my battery, I don’t even know how many times I had to jump my truck.

Took it back for service, no problem found. Was told by the Best Buy installers to remove the wire from the door sensor as they’ve had problems with that. A few weeks later on a trip out of town it stranded me at a hotel when it ran the battery down again.

Finally had to start removing the dvd when not in use to keep it from running when the truck was off. Then the installers told me to remove the wire that has power at all times, this at least keeps the unit from running the battery down, however then the unit doesn’t retract when you turn off the car.

Next it stopped ejecting the dvd. Took back for service where it was repaired, except that the first time I went to eject it still doesn’t work.

This is the worst electronic device I’ve ever seen.

We bought this player at Best Buy (it’s their house brand). One month after the warranty expired (13 months after purchase), the infrared sensor stopped working so you could no longer use the headphones. Even prior to that, it ran hot (to the touch), the eject button broke, and would not play well via the FM transmitter. DO NOT BUY!!
