We purchased the JVC KD-HDR1 digital radio for our car last year, which we are very happy with. Recently, we purchased a Garmin Nuvi automotive GPS. This adapter allowed us to connect the Garmin and use the car stereo for MP3 playback and voice directions for much less than buying a new radio with a built-in external input. Installation was a breeze, took less than 15 minutes to pop out the stereo, make the connection, route the cable behind the dash, and put everything back.
