Very nice offering in the limited realm of 8″ car speakers. I am an audio professional and I would say these probably sound as good as anything you’ll find at even much higher price ranges. The sound quality is very good and loud but not too harsh. The midrange driver tends to outshine the tweeter so don’t expect sizzling highs from these. The bottom end is just downright impressive and I was amazed to see very low frequencies reproduced mounted in a door. But as with all good sounding speakers they like power and will really shine when used with a separate amp. I’d say 4 of these on an amp pushing at least 50W RMS to each plus low boost and I think you’d be good to go, no subwoofer needed.
Fit, finish and build quality is good but the poor packaging could lead to shipping damage but mine seemed ok. Not the best sounding car speakers I’ve ever heard but not bad at all and I’m sure a little EQ could very easily clean them up. Honestly in consideration of the price I had to give them 5 stars, I’m very pleased with this purchase.
