These small 5-1/4 really act and sound like 6-1/2’s. They look great too, I installed mine without a grill cover to show off the luster from the woofer and tweeter set – classy!

First and foremost, these speakers rock my world. The separate tweeters put out such great highs i’m hearing parts of my music i’ve never heard before. Secondly, you must use an amp if you expect these speakers to work. I tried running them solely off the power from my Pioneer CD deck and failed miserably, all they did was put out a terrible buzzing noise. In short this was because the amount of power coming from the deck was not enough to reproduce the sound in the speaker. So…$200 later and a brand new Alpine 4 channel amp and the front components and rear 6×9s (all Kappa) are all running on Alpine and blasting great, clear, distortion free sound.
