This amp is very nice. I have it hooked up to my sony xplod cd player and my Sony XSLB12S Slim Line Subwoofer with Enclosure. It is perfect for this sub!
It’s actually perfect even if you have 2 subs. You can plug in 2 subs in “parallel” to this amp and it will push 300 watts to EACH sub (600 watts) or just plug in 1 sub.
It has a “pass through” so if you want to by another amp for more subs or for your regular speakers in your car or truck all you do is plug in the rca cable into this amp instead of running them all through out your car all the way to your cd player.
You don’t even have to run remote turn on wire at all you don’t want. Normally you have to run it to your cd player for an amp to turn on but for this amp you can splice the supplied wires into your existing factory speaker wires in your car for the amp to turn on when it senses the signal coming thru the speaker wires.
This amp DOES NOT GET HOT AT ALL!!! It stays perfectly cool and doesn’t get warm or hot to the touch. Which is AMAZING. The only wat this amp is going to get hot is if your vehicle is parked in the direct sunlight for many hours and it is really hot outside. You know how it gets kind of hot in your car?? Tha is the only way this may get a little hot but NOT from playing music with it!!
With the settings on this amp plus the settings that may be on your cd player, you can get your car sounding great and how you want it.
This amp is really CHEAP for an amp that works this well! I paid 108 bucks on here for it brand new. It should be 199. It has enough power to push 2 12″ subs loud if you want that. I just have 1 12 in my truck and it is really loud if I want to crank it up.
I believe that the settings need to be tweaked just right for any stereo to sound real good but that’s just me. Some people may say sony subs suck and blow or any brand for that matter. BUT these are the people that turn their amp ALL the way up full blast then turn the bass up all the way on the cd player and then try to turn the cd player volume all the way up. Uuuhhhhhh of course you are going to blow up any speakers doing this crap. My system is very clear and sounds awesome. Don;t get me wrong I use to have 2 12’s in my trunk when I was younger and even 2 10’s before that and my system was the best sounding of anybody I knew because I never turned it up to where the speakers started distorting. It’s all in how your box is placed in your trunk and how you set the setting on all your equipment. You could here me coming a LONG ways down the street but my system sounded CLEAR and not just boom boom boom boo boom. So just play around with it and buy this amp its good for 1 sub, 2 subs, expanding to add another amp with more subs or add an amp to your regular speakers without hassle!
By the way I have mostly used Kenwood amps in the past and they have all never failed. But I’m glad I bought this sony amp!! I’ve had bazzooka bass tubes, mtx subs, regular bazooka subs, and the sony 12″ slim in a truck box that I have now. I’ve had polk audio, pioneer, bazooka, infinity, and sony speakers and the only ones that sucked were bazooka speakers cause they messed up after like a week. But bazooka subs are good.

My Sony XMZZR3301 Class D Mono Subwoofer Amplifier is perfect for the system in my 1998 Lexus Es300. It doe’s what the spec’s said it would do, 320 watts into a 4 ohms 350 watt 12in subwoofer which i plan to change out soon to a 2 ohm, to get the full 600 watts out of this bad boy. I love this amp! and plan to get another one for my other vehicle.

the 6×9’s on a boss amp sounds better then this amp. I have a pair of 12″ Alpine r types that sound good with strong amps but this apn ant worth the money. world wide distributors won’t refund “Car audio equipment”
