… they are really fat !

Which means plugging them into, for example, through many iPod cases, does not work.

It’s a good cable, but I’m giving it 3 stars because the plug housing is so wide you can’t plug it into an iPod that is inside a case. If, like me, you keep your MP3 player in a case, check out the Belkin Mini-Stereo Cable for iPhone instead. There’s no excuse for this, these days the plug on any decent set of headphones is designed to avoid this problem, this cable’s plug should be designed the same way.

What can I say? It does what it needs to do and does it well. $7 for a cable like this is considered on the pricier end (especially when there are so many alternatives in the $0.99-$5 range). However having said this, most of those other cables are more poorly made, thinner gauge flimsier overall. This cable feels somewhat “beefier” than some other cables I’ve used. The gold plated connectors seem sturdier and has a solid connection when pushed into the aux-in ports/ ipod port. Sound quality is solid… well it’s probably as good as it’ll get from a 3.5mm cable. Final verdict, good overall… get one!

Bought this to play my iPod in car and love it – sound quality is great and love having it over looking for a ’signal-free station’ to play the audio through the radio. Only wish I had gotten a longer cord for easier use. I have to keep it close to the jack. But definitely would recommend if you’re looking for a reasonably priced cable to hook up your mp3 to your car.

The sound quality is great. Its a well constructed cable. However, the head of the cable is too fat. I have to take my iphone case off in order for the cable to make a connection.
