i give this subwoofer 2 enthusiastic thumbs up! my last several cars have been equipped with outstanding sound systems and i got rather spoiled. when i purchased a new car last month, i found the sound to be shallow. being a “girl” i did not know what to purchase to make the sound richer and fuller. i asked around and a sound technician suggested this subwoofer. i did some more research and went ahead and ordered this bazooka. WOW!!! what a difference it made. it was installed by a professional in a couple of hours and i could hear the bass pumping as i walked back to the garage where it was being installed. i DID NOT want window rattling teenage bass, but a fuller richer more crisp sound. the bass from this bazooka enriched the sound, and even brought out the highs of the treble in the the sound system and improved the sound wonderfully overall. i promised myself that i would write a review so any other 30something or 40something female with the same dilema would be able to make a quick easy decision and be on her merry way without all the time i spent researching and holding my breath! ps: the bazooka subwoofer was installed in the trunk of my car which is a small 4 seater convertible with a small trunk. it does not inhibit the movement or storage of the top and i still have trunk space for shopping bags! enjoy….

Incredible!! Bazooka has come up with a winning active (powered) or passive subwofer for us people who aren’t into car audio competition or jiggling the license plate bolts out of the back of our cars. In other words, a sub for us “in betweens.” I love the response from these and the fact that I can wedge them just about anywhere in my cars or trucks makes them especially appealing. I have bought three of them so far. One in the back of a pick up I own, the other in the back of a 2000 Camaro B4C and the other, the third in the back of my 1999 Toyota 4 Runner. This one is under the cargo cover, hidden from prying eyes.
These Bazooka subs are an awesome piece for the price. Truly a prize winning sub for us “other people.”
Thanks for the deal Amazon!

Product arrived and after purchasing the FAST-BTAH and FAST-9999 cable to hook it up, it only worked for about 4 days and then simply stopped working with no power to the system. I requested for a replacement through the Amazon sight and they did an awesome job. They shipped the replacement and gave me 30 days to send the old item back. I didn’t want to tear out the cabling and unscrew the straps that came with it so I waited for the replacement tube to arrive. Once the new tube arrived I took the associated items in the box and put it with the old box and shipped it back. The only problem is that I noticed the replacement tube had something lose inside of it. I installed it and strapped it down and noticed it worked fine. The only problem is that if a specific song played that had too much bass, the lose item inside made a rattling sound. Just as I had finally made the decision to take it out of the car and request a replacement again, it also died out. I’m currently going to request for another replacement or maybe just get my money back and go with the 6″ tube instead.

I purchased this amped sub for my 2000 Jeep Cherokee and have been greatly surprised. I figured the sub would give me a little bass to make up for my Alpine 5 1/4’s that sound great, but lack bass. In fact the sub set up easily and was much more than bass than I needed. I have the amp gain down to about 1/4 and am still getting a great sound!

I have to say of all of the audio equipment that i have put in my car this is the best decision i have made. I have had everything and i went through a juvenile phase with my tricked out Camry, but when i got my Saab i decided i wanted to be classy and not have wires everywhere and have nice clean system. This product is a great compliment to my system, and if your like i am and want a great product without the mess and obnoxious glass shattering bass, but a product with impeccable sound quality i would buy this product,… and i did.
