Speakers a a solid upgrade from stocks. I use these in a 2007 Ford Focus ZX3 with a Pioneer DEHP4000UB head unit,2x 12 MTX Terminator subs and an MTX Terminator single channel amp and these really completed the system. They can’t handle much more than the stock speakers in terms of sheer volume but these speakers brought dynamic back to my music by enhancing the mids and ecspecially the highs. I would recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade sound without spending a lot of money.

I bought these to replace the factory speakers in my 2008 Ford Focus (equivalent 2004 USA model).
Fit and finish: the speakers looked very nice, the material in the woofer is really strong, terminals a little on the flimsy side, the mid and tweeter case are very well executed, with rounded ends. There are self-adhesive foam gaskets to put under the outer edge of the speakers to avoid rattles (use them!). In the box there are also connectors that fit the speakers terminals: my Ford has clip-on connectors that are useless with the Kenwood unless you have an adaptor. I simply cut the car terminal wires and twisted the speaker cables around the ends.
Installation: These are the size of choice for any Ford or Mazda with 6×8 door speakers: exactly as the factory speakers, particularly the depth of the speakers that let the windows go down without any problems. Look no further! Aside from the terminal’s incompatibility (nothing of importance) the installation is a snap.
Sound: like ALL speakers, you will need to run them for some hours BEFORE making any judgement: in the first minutes or hours the bass is weak, the highs are piercing. Wait, wait and you will be rewarded with natural and strong bass, well executed mids and less than stellar highs (the ceramic variety of the tweeter must be the culprit), so turn down a little the highs and for the money you will have better sound than other brands out there, specially Pioneer and JBL. The sound will improve after long use, giving you the sense of inmediacy not associated with the factory speakers. They do not distort unless you are using a low quality head unit.
Conclusions: easy to install, good looks, nice sound: up to the task, and definitely more than I was expecting for!
