I thought i was only buying a cheap substitute for my broken 12-year old kickers (couldn’t afford to buy new sets of kickers) for my system for my ‘02 Toyota 4Runner composed of a JBL 625W 4-channel amp that would drive these and a pair of 6 1/2 Pioneer TS-G1043R (which i also bought from amazon), a Kenwood 800W 2-channel amp to drive 2 Pioneer Champion Series 12′ subs. I tell you….these are comparable with the top of the line speakers out there. Very balanced, very good mids and highs (i don’t know about the bass because i turned it off from the jbl built-in crossover), does not distort on very high volume. Right now, all my speakers are pioneers and i’m very, very happy with my system!!!
