I am quite impressed with the amount of bass this has for such a small woofer(subs usually start at 8″), especially in the lower frequencies. Bass guitar will sound very impressive and if you adjust an equalizer to have a 12db gain at 32hz, bass drums will sound amazing as well. As stated with other reviews, this product is not going to hit that hard which can be expected out of an 8″ sub. To me, it has the perfect amount of bass; not too soft or not too hard. But out of any 8″ sub this thing will win the competition and I’m pretty sure a lot of it has to do with specially designed cone and surround. Would definitley recommend this sub to anyone looking for a smaller sub especially if you have an equalizer or low-pass crossover with bass boost.

I bought this to replace the blown out sub in my 2002 Suburban. It is a little deeper than the factory sub, so I had to modify the factory grill screen spacer to use a mounting ring to create the extra depth needed to mount this speaker. It was not a big deal. As for the sound, it is a good as the original speaker when new, but don’t expect to feel the bass.

Summary: not a great sub, but hard to beat for the price.

We just bought a 2001 Avalon with the JBL audio system. The sub was blown. I researched and read and calculated, but also didn’t want to spend a lot of money.

It was actually harder getting the original sub and mounting out than it was to replace with this one. The only change I had to make was to use longer screws to hold the two mounting pieces together (with the woofer sandwiched in-between).

You have to cut or desolder the connector off the original woofer, and wire the new one.

I never heard the original, but I am somewhet of an audio/video guy, and this sub sounds nice. I like decent quality sound in my car as much as in my house. I wasn’t looking to rattle the trunk lid.

I have zero regrets. Money well spend. I’d consider this for other applications if I needed a car sub.

These are great little speakers that aren’t to expensive. I replaced the blown factory speaker in my 2002 Yukon. 2 day shipping took almost three days though. Good buy!!!

For the price, these were spot on. Sounds WAY better than I thought they would. I have 2 on my truck & they hit great. Cool design too!
